By "mail client" do you mean for reading and composing email?
Most of us use either pine or mutt, both of which came in rpm
form with your Red Hat distribution, and are probably already
installed.
If you're asking how do most of us retrieve our incoming messages
from the net, the answer is fetchmail and it, too, is provided by
Red Hat in rpm and is probably already installed.
Lastly, I am not aware that any of us uses links much. I think
most of use lynx, but getting the configuration right is
critical. Let me know if you'd like a copy of my generic,
blind-friendly lynx.cfg file.
PS: You should get the mailcap file from the goodies directory on
linux-speakup.org and follow the instructions therin. It will
help you stream and play sound files from both lynx and your mail
client.
