Nope.

I'm using ppp over a modem to connect to the internet, the eth0 device is
for if/when I need to connect with my lap top, since the card was in the
machine I thought I may as well gert the thing working, not that it was
much of a problem, just compile in the driver and use Slackware's
netconfig script to set up the device.
