floppy 0 probe failed

Is your floppy drive an ide floppy drive i.e. superfloppy
or is it the regular 34-wire one connected to a floppy controller?
If the drive s hows up in dmesg as fd0 it is regular; if it shows as hdx
it is an atapi floppy.
