braille lite as a terminal?

This is somewhat of a hack if you can't afford brailleterm/vterm, but it's worked before.

1. Open a fairly large file (the larger the better).
2. Set all your serial parameters in the status/parameters menu.
3. In the status menu, hit "d" for duplex, and hit "f" for full.
4. Still in the status menu, hit "g" for interactive, and hit "y" for on.
5. Not vital, but still strongly recommended, in the status menu, hit "x", and input a value of something like 3. Then, hit e-chord twice, once to accept the 3 you just put in, and the second time to exit the status menu.
6. One more very important thing, turn on the serial port before you start, and turn it off after you stop.

You should now be able to type, and get input back from the serial port of the GNU/Linux box.

Let me know if this works, or if you have any problems. If I've forgotten or totally turned something around, someone please feel free to correct the above. Hth.
