Hi. I've noticed that any user can change speakup synth parameters whether they are root or not by editing files in the /proc/speakup directory. For example, if a regular user does something like echo 0 > /proc/speakup/volume the volume of the synthesizer will be changed to zero. Is there any way to get around this? Thanks. -- Ryan
