german language with speakup

Hello,

i have created a file with the phonetics  for
the german language and done 

cat listedeu >/proc/speakup/characters

That works well.
In the speakup.c i found the definitions for
Backgroundcolor, forgroundcolor, for the alphabet "alpha, beta ..." and the 
prompts for "top edge, bootom edge ..."

I can edit all this definitions and recompile my kernel. But if 
find it useful if i can
change this definitions with a cat command. 

How can i create a /proc/speakup/prompts file, that contains that
definitions? Then it is easier to use different languages with speakup.
