Ed, Thanks for your description of the install process. This was my first install of Linux and I did the typical install without customization. Since you sent your message I found the dos2unix on my second CD for RedHat 7.3. It was at /RedHat/RPMS/dos2unic-3.1-10.i386.rpm thanks Mark Rew
