Problem with a tar archive

Hi all,

I've made a .tgz archive  in Windows for uploading it on the remote Linux
server, but I can't get the files from that archive.
I've used gzip to decompress the file, and now I have a .tar file.

When trying to extract the single file from the tar archive, it gave me an
error, something like:
the file has a different GUID and the file has a different UID.

Can I do something to modify the GUID and the UID of that file from the tar
archive?
I don't want to upload the file again.

Is it possible?
