Compiling wvdial an wvstreams

Hello,
i want to compile wvdial an wvstreams.
The frst step ist to compile wvstreams. I have done the following in the  
directory of wvstreams-3.7.0/

make

Then i become an errormessage:

wvgzip.cc 8, zlib.h no such file or directory

With "find" i found a "zlib.h" file in the directorytree of the kernel- 
sourcen.

Any Idea?
