procmail

Hi all,
How does one get procmail to work?
I have a procmailrc file and an rc.playsound file that janina provided a
week or so ago and I modified the rc.playsound to suit my needs.
my question is,
what do I need to do from here?
do I need to add something to my .fetchmailrc file?
