Hi

I still don't understand what you are saying in respect of the issue here.  
Can we use TWAIN compliant scanners under GNU/Linux or not?  It seems that 
you'd rather introduce new elements to the thread rather than agree with 
me that we can use TWAIN compliant scanners under GNU/Linux.
