speakup keys

Hi Shaun and Cheryl -

Cheryl is right. The ins-enter combination on the keypad silences
speakup until you repeat that same combination again, while just
pressing the keypad enter silences the speech only until the next
key press of any sort occurs. But Shaun is also right - it is the
printscreen key that kills speakup, and pressing printscreen
again restores it. The difference is this: If you silence speakup
as Cheryl suggested, with the keypad combination ins-enter, you
still have an active review mode. You just do not get spontaneous
output either from your keystrokes or from an application, but
you can cruise around the screen to see (okay, hear!) what is
happening there. If you kill speakup as Shaun suggested, you
cannot even do that. No speech of any sort, direct or review,
until you reincarnate speakup with a second press of printscreen.

HTH - Chuck
