midi playing with sb_live

Hi guys,
I've got a bit of a tricky 1 for you.
I want to know if there is a way I can get my sblive to play midi files
easily and if so, how do I go about achieving this?
I've got a funny feeling I might need a midi player first but I'm not sure
about that.
