anotheer alsa question

I guess that my first question would be, after compiling and installing alsa
did you modify your modules.conf in /etc? If not, there is a great example
of kirks module.conf on bumpy. If i am not mistaken it shows how to set it
up for a emu10k1 (sb live).

Hi all, I just got alsa 0.9 beta 6 installed and it doesn't seem to see my
sound card at all. I have two cards: an sblive and something that is built
into the mother board. I would like to get at least one of them working
under linux so I can use speakup. Oh and yes I did run the snddevices
script. Thanks for any help.
