quick way to find if Speakup is in your kernel

I think Tiler was trying to find a way to know if speakup was in a kernel
compressed image.  Once you boot it it's easy to know if speakup is there
or not. 

I think the best way to find out if speakup is in a compressed kernel
image is to
strings |grep speakup |less
