Hi, Dr. Don:
You sure can. Speakup runs just fine with Redhat or Debian or
Slackware--and probably all the linux distributions.
I, and others here on the list will help you get going, I'm sure.
First question: Do you have a nice broadband connection to the net? You
can download iso images with speakup already inside, but it's a mega
download job -- about 5 CD ROMs worth of download. Can you handle that?
