Problems with Red Hat install.

if your inittab is set up like slackware's (it just might be) there's one
text console open on tty6 as a workaround to a bug in init, and also a nice
failsafe if something happens to X.
so...
hit control-alt F6, and see if you get a console, if so, log in as root and
fix your inittab. (it's /etc/inittab, and pretty self-explanitory)
