help requested for speakup1.0

Hi guys.
Think djc's using the 2.4.3-12 kernel source tree that is on the Red Hat
cd.
This tree won't compile I don't believe with speakup in it.
I suggest you go to:
ftp.kernel.org /pub/linux/kernel/v2.4
And get the latest version from there that is linux-2.4.12.tar.gz or .bz2
and use that to install speakup in and compile.
