cvs error while trying to patch speakup

Hi.  I was able to successfully cvs speakup from my work net
24.221.31.62 yesterday. but now when I try from the home box
216.254.102.192 I get this error.

Patching version v24
cvs [update aborted]: recv() from server bumpy.braille.uwo.ca:
Connection reset
by peer

What do I need to look for?  Thanks.
