Hi all,

     Shaun: I don't know where you got your DTLK specific bootdisk, but
the 7.1 disks I've hacked up are based on the Saint Paddy's day CVS
version
of SPeakup. Therefore, all synthesizers are available. These disks can
be found at: ftp://speakup.octothorp.org/pub/redhat-7.1/d1/images/
At the boot prompt, you should type: text speakup_synth=<value>. For
example, text speakup_synth=dtlk
At the question about adding parameters to the kernel that you'll see
during LILO configuration, you should put the same parameter. For example:
speakup_synth=audptr
This assumes that you're lucky enough to have an Audapter. <grin> If
there is already something in the field such as hdc=ide-scsi, put your
speakup parameter after it making sure that there's a space between them.

          HTH.
          Bill
