upgrading in Debian, (was Re: tar archives)

	Geoff shang cued me in on this a few months ago... Thanks Geoff!

	"apt-get" and "apt-cache" are the two you'll want to look at.

		 just upgraded from potato to woody yesterday... amazingly simple and easy!

	To upgrade to the latest versions of packages in your current Debian distribution, you would use:
		'apt-get update'   then,
		'apt-get upgrade'
