Hello all,

I was just thinking ... the 2.2.18 kernel supports USB to serial converters.
I know that the modules for that load after speakup. However, could there be
a way to start speakup and a serial synth on such a converter after login?
Yes, I know that you would miss boot up messages and the login prompt as a
result. However, this would be better then nothing for those of us who are
stuck running only windblows on a particular machine just because it has
only USB ports with such a converter and a serial synth.
