Regarding rawrite, it's best to use it in as pure a DOS environment as
possible. Also, if you uuse speech, kill it off as much as is practical
during the write operation. It seems to cause problems with some rawrite
operations. Remember that the bios code that has to read these rawritten
disks is far less tollerant of imperfections than standard disk i/o code.
As far as downloading goes, it is strongly recommended that windows users
use an FTP client rather than internet explorer. A number of people up
here got bad images and it turned out that they'd all used IE to get them.
I know it should be fine, but it often is not.
In a standard FTP client, it will be possible somewhere to select ASCII or
binary mode. This of course will vary from client to client. It is of
course essential that one uses binary mode for downloading disk images.
