using cvs from slackware 8.0

I just touched the file so it's blank.  If you go to the /usr/doc/svsxxxxx
directory you can read the NEWS file and it gives an example but I just
left the file blank.  It works now.  I can't boot into the 2.4.x kernel
but that is a different horse.  *smile*.
