c++ programs compile ok now

Hi All,
Well, I just finished reinstallling my Linux system.
I did everything as before, right up through package upgrades and 
kernel 2.4.6 upgrade.
Strangely, g++ runs fine, and
Chuck, afix compiled just fine.
So, I don't know what the problem was.
But, whatever it was, it's solved now.
Frank, thank you for your help in trying
to figure out what the problem is and how to fix it.
