Question about terminal installation.

Hi, list. I need to reinstall my Red Hat box, and I am trying to remember
the command to do the text terminal install command.
I remember you waited until the boot prompt comes up, and then you had to
type something like:
linux console=/dev/ttyS0,
and then press enter.
If anyone can clue me in on this it would be a big help.
Oh, and remind me of the baud rate. I am trying to remember if my Windows
box had to be set to 9600 or 19200.
