Hi Chuck:

I didn't think of changing the port settings like that.  Maybe that's why
Speakup doesn't work with all serial synths right out of the box--maybe
there's something that needs to be set.  Were the changes to the serial
port made through setup or was it something more complicated.  I'll have
to go into setup and see what kind of things I can do with the port.

Thanks for the compliment--I have to give Kirk most of the credit for
making Speakup work.
