cvs updates

Kirk,

Thought i'd throw my 2 cents in here. Only cause I recently installed
speakup0.09(or was that the version of speakfreely, can't recall) anyway,
After successfully recompiling the kernel (all this is with many thanks to
Bill Acker btw) I had the same problem that Jack is running into. LILO kicks
off, grinds for a sec and then locks, bad locks, have to kick the power to
restart. I added the line "alias="speakup_ser=0" to my lilo.conf and that
fixed the problem.

System Config: RedHat 7.0 running on a PIII450. DecTalk Express synth. Need
anymore info just let me know.

Keith

Hi Jack: Can you give me some kind of idea which is the last version
you've successfully run with and without speakup? Also, which synth
are you using again? I knows it may sound stupid but I can barely
remember what synth I have.

Any other relevant info would also be good. Bill says his version
works my LiteTalk works, although I haven't tried any other synths
myself yet. I'm hoping your synth wasn't a LiteTalk or an Audaptor.

  Kirk
