installed rh 6.2 from talking bootdisk, but it's kernel refuses to work properly when copied in from the bootdisk

Hi:

hmmmm.  OK, does it actually end up booting or does it grind to a halt?  I
would have thought that you'd need to do a rdev on the kernel so that it
would use the hard drive as the root device as opposed to the floppy, but
I've never used redhat.  You out there, Bill?
