I can't get the patch command to work

Hi Kirk,
I ran into a lot more than just one hunk failed when trying to patch in
speakup-0.09 yesterday.  Specifically I am running 2.2.14-12   I'm still
having the modules_install problem after renaming the
/lib/modules/2.2.14-12 directory.  I'm definitely going to 2.2.15!
