Here is a copy of my own line that does the same thing in that file,
except I use ttyS2 (com3) and irq 11.

${SETSERIAL} /dev/ttyS2 uart 16550A port 0x3E8 irq 11 ${STD_FLAGS}

The variables in braces are defined earlier in the file. Make sure that
all other references to your device are commented out elsewhere in the
file!! Important!
