Problems with speakup.

Hi Tom:  The problem isn't that the speakup map isn't getting loaded.
It is probably being loaded just fine when you compile the kernel.
Most distributions load a keymap at boot time from the rc.d
initialization directories.  Your ultimate goal is to just find where
Redhat is loading its keymap and remove it.  Temporarily though, you
can cd into your speakup directory and type:

loadkeys speakupmap.map

to load the speakup map.  That should give you review functions until
you find the other place they are being loading and remove the default
keymap file.  Some of the Redhat users will need to tell you where
that map is getting loaded at boot time.
